Councils & partners

A 90-day pilot your community can see.

We run a short, contained pilot in your area: hands-on workshops, local collection points and products made from what residents bring in. At the end, you get honest numbers you can stand behind.

The pilot

What happens in 90 days

Small enough to approve quickly, long enough to show real results.

  1. Days 1–30

    Set up and launch

Agree on venues and targets, install two collection tubs, and run an opening Sorting Basics workshop with a local promotion push.

  2. Days 31–60

    Workshops and collection

Run fortnightly public workshops plus one school or youth group session. Collect, weigh and sort everything that comes in.

  3. Days 61–90

    Make and report

Press the collected HDPE into products for the community, hold a showcase event, and deliver a plain-English results report.

What we're asking for

Support that makes a pilot possible

We bring the equipment, the facilitators and the know-how. Here's what we need from a partner.

  • Venue access

A library or community centre room for 6–8 sessions, plus space for two collection tubs.

  • Pilot funding

A modest grant to cover facilitation, materials, insurance and machine time. We'll provide an itemised quote.

  • Promotion

A spot in your newsletter, social channels and venue noticeboards to help fill sessions.

  • A named contact

One person on your team we can check in with fortnightly.

Reporting

How we'll report results

You'll get a short mid-pilot update at day 45 and a full report within two weeks of finishing. All figures are measured, not estimated. Where we have to estimate, we'll say so and show how.

No greenwashing. We won't claim carbon or landfill savings we can't measure.

Every report includes

  • Kilograms of HDPE collected, and how much was rejected and why
  • Number of workshops, attendees and school or youth participants
  • Number and type of products made, and where they went
  • Short participant survey: what people learned and will do differently
  • Photos and quotes you're free to use in council reporting
  • What didn't work, and what we'd change next time
