Community plastic recycling · Adelaide
ReCraft runs hands-on workshops in local libraries and community centres. You learn to sort plastic properly, then we turn the clean HDPE into things people can actually use.

How it works
Three steps, and you can see every one of them. That's the point. When you can watch your lids become a coaster, recycling stops being a mystery.
Bring in clean HDPE: milk bottle lids, shampoo and detergent bottles. You collect at home, school or work and drop it to a workshop.
We check every piece together. We read the resin codes, take off labels and pull out anything that isn't HDPE. Nothing goes into the shredder unchecked.
Clean plastic is shredded, melted and pressed into keychains, coasters and tiles, and later into planters, stools and benches for local spaces.
Upcoming workshops
Sessions run at libraries and community centres around Adelaide. Most are free, and kids are welcome with an adult.
Made in Adelaide
Every piece is pressed from plastic sorted at our workshops, so no two speckles are the same.
No greenwashing
Recycling one bag of lids won't save the planet, and we won't pretend it does. We weigh what comes in, what we reject and what we make, and we publish those numbers. That way you, your school or your council can see exactly what happened.
